Welcome to the Spring Street Community Garden! 🌿
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Spring Street Community Garden! Located at the corner of Spring Street and William Street in Port Moody, BC, this new allotment-style garden is officially ready to bring neighbours, community members, and local organizations together to grow fresh food, vibrant flowers, and lasting friendships.
Whether you are a seasoned gardener with green-thumb expertise or a complete beginner eager to plant your very first seed, this space was created for you.
What’s in the Garden?
Built during the fall of 2026, the Spring Street Community Garden is designed to be a welcoming, functional, and accessible neighbourhood hub. Features include:
105 Cedar Raised Garden Beds: Generous individual growing plots ready for planting.
Picnic Tables: Comfortable spots to rest, share gardening tips, or enjoy a sunny lunch outdoors.
Community Bulletin Board: A central space for garden updates, local announcements, and events.
Water Access: On-site hoses and irrigation support to make garden maintenance straightforward.
Our garden is shared between local community organizations and individual neighbours who applied during the build phase or through our ongoing signup form.

Who can join the garden?
Anyone! We aim to create an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming space for all community members, regardless of background or experience level.
What does it mean to "join" the Community Garden?
Each gardener signs up to cultivate one garden bed.
Bed Dimensions: 4' x 3.3' (giving you 13 sq. ft. of rich growing space).
Annual Fee: $20/year per bed. This fee covers access to high-quality soil in a raised cedar bed, on-site water access (garden hoses), and monthly gardener newsletters/updates.
Financial Accessibility: If the annual garden fee presents a barrier for you, please let us know—we want to ensure everyone in our community has the opportunity to grow.
How long will the garden last?
We operate one growing season at a time. We take each year season by season and will keep all plot holders informed well in advance about any future plans for the property.
Do the garden beds fill up?
Yes. Bed allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis. While beds fill quickly, we maintain an active waitlist so you can step in as soon as a plot opens up.
