THE DRIVE TEMPORARY COMMUNITY GARDEN

The Drive Temporary Community Garden was a temporary growing space in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Located at the corner of Commercial Dr. and 12th Ave. E, the garden sat atop a former service station. Built in two phases (Oct. 2013 & March 2014), the garden had 112 community garden beds, seating, fruit trees, garden art and a demo chicken coop!. This allotment garden was for community members to grow food and flowers. This garden was built with contributions from The Rotary Club and Vancity.

The garden was decommissioned in late 2017 for a planned commercial redevelopment of the property.
